About Indianapolis Bat Removal

Welcome to indianapolisbat.com. We are the only qualified bat removal company in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bat removal is our specialty. In fact we are so skilled at our job that we can remove entire bat colonies without killing a single one! We also look down on illegal poisons which are intended to bring harm or even kill bats. We also refrain from using bat traps as they may bring further harm to the creature. If you are worried about the bats returning to your home, worry not for we are also skilled at sealing 100% of all bat entry points in your home. Those rascals will never enter your home again when we're done! This simple process of sealing up your home involves placing special devices over the entry and exit routes of the bats. These devices are designed to create one-way passages, this will allow the bats to leave the area, but not return, keeping them away from the area for good. This process is of course done, once we assess the area and confirm that all the bats have left. We'll even clean up the mess they made when we finish! How do we clean up their mess you ask? Well we start by cleaning, deodorizing, and decontaminating any harmful bat guano that may be in your attic. We also have wildlife experts that are trained in attic remediation work, which is designed to remove all the bat droppings from your attic restoring it to its former glory. Things they remove can range from Bat odors that come from their urine, or stains which are greasemarks that bats leave behind in their dwellings. We operate 24-7-365, so don't hesitate to call us at 317-565-2129 to discuss your bat problem and schedule a fast appointment.

Residential

We are experts at removing bats from residential properties. Whether you have a single bat trapped in your house, a colony roosting in your attic, and/or various other problems, there is no need to worry! During our removal process, we make sure to inspect your entire home carefully, tracking down all the entrypoints bats are using to invade your place. Next, we perform a process called live exclusion (where no bats are harmed and all exit your property), then seal all entry holes completely shut. We also take care of the cleanup process after, so your home is safe and clean!

Commercial

Besides residential areas, we also have a wealth of experience removing bats from commercial properties! We begin by investigating the area for possible bat entrances, covering holes even as small as 1/4 of an inch. Through our live exclusion process, bats leave the building through one-way exits, and we seal up every hole afterward. Once the bats have been removed, we perform a cleanup process. This includes dealing with guano, replacing damaged insulation, and decontaminating the place.

What Our Customers Say

What to do with a Trapped Bat

After you catch a bat, you are going to find yourself confused and worried. Like most others, you are not going to know what to do with the animal. You do not want to hurt it but you do not want it to fly around your home, so what are your options?

There are a few things you can do here that may help you to remove the bat and the problem entirely. So long as you do this properly, you should see positive results.

Throughout the entire process, make sure you are gentle and careful. Bats are fragile creatures and you could hurt one easily without meaning to do so.

Be careful not to kill the bat, either. Not only do you not want to harm the bat, but you also do not want to face the legal consequences. Bats are protected and killing one is illegal. Be aware of that.

Waiting for the Right Time

Before releasing the bat outside, you are going to want to wait until nighttime or dusk. Wait until its colony is already outside, it is time for the bat to go hunting, and it can regroup easily. This is when the bat will start to move away from the house. It will go outside to find meals and to do what it must.

During this time, keep the bat somewhere it can breathe and be comfortable. Make sure it is a safe place to hold on to it so that it does not come out injured.

Releasing it Outside

When the time comes, release the bat outside. Allow it to fly free towards its colony. It will go to where it feels the safest.

When doing this, keep your doors and windows closed so that the bat cannot fly back inside. You do not want to repeat this problem again.

Wear protective gear, too. Bats are typically not aggressive, but they can become defensive when they fear for their lives, like most animals. Wear gloves and keep your distance to avoid the risk of bites.

After you release the bat, look into exclusion tactics to keep them out of your attic, if they are there. If you have a bat problem in your home, and do not want a repeat of this, you want to do what you can to keep them out and keep them far away from your property.
